Sharon Dreese, Head Of SchoolSharon Dreese joined the Haddonfield Friends School community in 2007. She has a B.S. in Secondary Education from Bloomsburg University and an M.A. in English from Lehigh University. Over the last 23 years she has taught language arts, social studies, French, science and health to students across the grades (3rd - 12th), as well as literature, writing and ESL at Lehigh University. She has taught in multi-aged classrooms (grades 7 - 10), helped design language arts and social studies curriculum for middle school students, and directed/co-directed middle and high school plays.
Sharon's passions are music, literature and writing. In her 'younger" days, she performed with various musical groups on summer tours and sang with both the Bucks County Choral Society and the Lehigh University Concert Choir. In her spare time, she enjoys writing.
Her administrative background includes an interim headship at United Friends School in Quakertown, PA. She also comes to us with over twenty years of experience in development and strategic planning and has worked closely with boards throughout her educational career.
